In Memory of Anthony J. Black

Anthony J. Black (July 5, 1951 - April 10, 2015) Anthony J. Black (Jerry) age 63, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2015 surrounded by his family.

Jerry was an employee of General Electric in Philadelphia for forty years and was affectionately known as "The King". He was a semi-pro football player with Venango Bears and Bridesburg Eagles where he played quarterback for many years. He was a generous, kind man who was dedicated to his family. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Arleen; his four children Anthony, Daniel (Mandi), Caitlin, and Christine; five grandchildren, Noelle, Daniel, Anthony, Ryan and Joseph; his brother, Robert (Helene) and sister, Sara Jane Wilson (Joseph).

A viewing will be held Friday, April 17th from 10:00 – 11:45 am at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 371 E. Main Street, Middletown, DE 19709. Interment will be at Old Bohemia Cemetery, Warwick, MD.
